After it was reported that the elected congressman - and very controversial - Miguel Polo Polo Polo applied in previous years for a scholarship before the Ministry of the Interior, assuring who was indigenous, the activist also announced that he will bring legal action for those who disseminated this information, in addition to defending himself against the controversial and very serious accusations.

“After graduating from high school in 2013, I entered the University of Cartagena in 2016 through an admission exam. There I studied my undergraduate degree in Public Management. In 2021, the American Colombo awarded me a scholarship to study English. I have never been a scholarship holder as an indigenous person,” said the representative for the Afro-descendant curul, which has become known as being very similar to Uribism.

In addition, Polo Polo launched it against a radio outlet that documented the news that he had applied for a scholarship posing as an activist and, through his official Twitter account, said he would defend himself in court.

“The thing about W Radio against me is not journalism, it is a clear political persecution. They've already released two fake news stories this week. I will act legally I HAVE NEVER BEEN A SCHOLARSHIP NOR HAVE I RECEIVED EDUCATIONAL AID AS AN INDIGENOUS PERSON”, trino.

He even vehemently attacked Antanas Mockus, one of the most visible faces of the Green Alliance; he also questioned presidential candidate Sergio Fajardo. The motives of the right-wing activist are that they too would have received benefits from indigenous political parties; he even says that since they “are from the left”, no one tells them anything.

In fact, in the context of complaints of alleged electoral fraud in the legislative elections, in which he was elected, he said that they want to remove the seat he won for a party that represents negritudes.

“The parapolitical mafias of Valle del Cauca and those of the Covenant came together to steal our cural. The elections are being stolen from us,” warned the controversial young man, a native of Tuluá. There he also tagged the National Registry of Civil Status and the National Electoral Council.

After his strong defense, Ali Bantú, a candidate on the list of Soy por Somos (a movement of which Francia Márquez is also a part) for the Afro-descendant seat but who was not elected, and who made the aforementioned complaint visible, announced that he will file legal action against Polo Polo. Why?

It should be noted that to confirm his complaint, the former congressional candidate showed the document issued by the Colombian Indigenous Information System (SIIC), of the Ministry of the Interior, which certifies that Miguel Abraham Polo Polo appeared as belonging to the census of the Isla Gallinazo Indigenous Community in the 2016 and 2019 records.

Through QR Code verification, the authenticity of the document can be verified. Although it is not established that a person cannot belong to two minorities, Polo Polo has been rightly questioned for not identifying himself in the activism of the Afro community.
