The federal deputy for the National Action Party (PAN), Margarita Zavala Gómez del Campo, again lashed out against the chief minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Arturo Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea, after resolution of the Alejandra Cuevas case.
Through her Twitter account, the former first lady ironized with the statement of the Doctor of Law in which she mentioned that the case would be resolved on March 28, since she said that it was “14 unnecessary days” that Cuevas would remain in jail.
He also pointed out that he was “creative” and “responding” quickly to questions about the process; however, he also blamed him for “going against women”, that is, for allegedly attacking women from his position of power.
“March 28th! Of course they will give the freedom to #AlejandraCuevas. 14 totally unnecessary days, how creative it was for us to write and accept questions, but it was not to release immediately. I am referring to @ArturoZaldivarL, who is very easy to go against women,” the legislator wrote on her official Twitter account.

The first part of Zavala's tweet referred to March 16, when the minister president announced that it will be next Monday, March 28, when the new draft resolution on the amparos promoted by Laura Morán and Alejandra Cuevas, to whom the head of the Attorney General of the Republic will be discussed (FGR), Alejandro Gertz Manero, accused of omission homicide against his brother Federico.
During his monthly press conference, Zaldivar de Larrea said that the matter will be resolved in just four months, considering the date from which it was attracted to the final legal settlement.
He also pointed out that Minister Alfredo Gutiérrez Ortiz Mena will be responsible for the implementation of the new draft resolution and will submit his proposals on 22 March; the public versions of them will be announced that same day.

However, the second part recalled that in recent weeks, Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea said that he received pressure from former president Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, husband of Zavala Gómez del Campo, to exonerate her for the ABC Nursery fire that occurred in Hermosillo, Sonora in 2009 and that it left 49 dead babies and 106 injured.
During the presentation of the book 10 years of rights. Jurisprudential autobiography, the chief minister of the SCJN asserted that the then Secretary of the Interior, Fernando Gómez Mont, visited him to send him a message from the presidency: they did not support his decision, since among the officials of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) mentioned there were relatives of the former lady.
However, through her Twitter account, Margarita Zavala wrote that the doctor of law told lies presented a text with money from the Public treasury. In other tweets, he indicated that the Calderón government also filed complaints against family members.
Finally, he explained that it was the federal administration that managed that injured infants were sent to specialized hospitals in the United States for timely care. So he repeated that Zaldívar lied, since the anecdote does not appear in the text he presented either.
