Lost Ark: Amazon Games and Smilgate consider that they released the March update very soon

Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG published a new update on the Lost Ark page in which they reviewed some of the highlights that the game went through since its launch in the West and the balance they made on some decisions.

“Teams have been working tirelessly to improve stability, combat bots, prepare new content, and much more. We appreciate the support and patience of players around the world and, before we get into the team update, we want to thank the millions of heroes who have stepped on Arkesia and accompanied us at the start of this adventure,” they said at the beginning of the text.

In the publication they highlighted that the launch in the west was a “wonderful experience” for Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG, although they also referred to having spent sleepless nights to search for creative solutions to the different problems, such as the overcrowding on the servers that the game experienced in its early days.

In the first part they referred to the release of the March update, which they considered that it made the mistake of arriving very soon after the release of the game. From what you could see, many players may have felt that they were pressured to reach a higher level of items in a very hurry.

“We predicted that we would have a higher proportion of players at the level needed to challenge Argos. However, we overlooked some variables, such as the increase in time spent on horizontal content and the rise in the price of finishing materials due to bots and real money transactions,” they explained.

In that regard, they pointed out that they will continue to collect data on game patterns in the Western version of the game to define their future content calendar based on that. “We want to apologize for the confusion caused by the excitement of the beginning,” they added.

Along the same lines, they defined that they will now prioritize updates that allow players to progress on the content that is already present in the game, rather than adding more advanced activities.

“We believe that Horde Raids, the ultimate Lost Ark assault experience, shouldn't be available until players have earned enough materials to be confident and ready for the challenges ahead. Don't worry, you won't have to wait much longer for new content,” they warned.

They also referred to the presence of bots, one of the main problems that plagued the game since its launch. In this regard, they emphasized that thanks to the waves of suspensions and the elimination of gold from the initial stages, they managed to see a large reduction in quantity.
