Jamming Festival 2022, some artists would not know about the postponement of the event

The event was postponed to one day after its realization and there would be several affections for this eventuality

In the last few hours thousands of people who hoped to be able to finally attend one of the most important and massive musical events in Colombia, such as the Jamming Festival, found themselves with the bad news of its postponement a few hours after its start in the city of Ibagué.

The event that had been waiting for the opportunity to take place in the last two years due to the pandemic not allowing them, sees it with difficulty once again being able to present the artists called for its 10th edition.

The SIC has stated that “in its role as the national consumer protection authority, it is rigorously monitoring the development of the 'JAMMING FESTIVAL 2022', arguing that some changes had been made to the conditions of the concert and that, moreover, presumably, they would not have been properly communicated.

Within the controversy generated by this postponement, in addition to the annoyance to those who have already bought their tickets, it is found that some artists have not yet learned that this has happened, as the journalist Johana Fuentes of WRadio announced:

The organization of Jamming on its social networks announced the postponement. However, criticism from the people who intended to go to the concert has not been long in coming, even asking for a refund of the ballot money.

In addition to the bands named by the journalist who apparently had not heard about the eventuality, there are also Aterciopelados, Vilma Palma e Vampiros from Argentina.

Some important figures that stand out amid the postponement of the concert are that of the approximately 8,000 foreigners who would arrive in the country to attend, many of them perhaps on the way.

Other numbers to keep in mind is that the collection by the box office would be about 70 billion, according to calculations made with information from the Mayor's Office of Ibagué.

However, the costs of some artists and the budget they demanded to make their presentation come to light, drawing attention to the Tigres del Norte and Damian Marley, son of the disappeared reggae legend Bob Marley with more than $200,000, equivalent to nearly 750 million Colombian pesos.

Jamming Festival 2022 postponed

The organization's Instagram stories show that several artists had already arrived in Ibague. Among them the Argentineans of Soda Sobredosis, reggae singer Fidel Nadal, among others.

The indignation has reached such an extent that people from other countries such as Ecuador and Bolivia, who were already in the country waiting for the moment to enjoy the concert, have approached the renowned Casa Babylon bar in Bogotá to express their dissatisfaction with what happened as shown in the following video uploaded to Twitter.

Over the course of the day, more information will be released on what will happen with the event that would take place this weekend on March 19, 20 and 21 at Playa Hawaii in Ibague, Tolima and that has caused a stir in the country and on social networks being a trend almost all morning this Friday.
