Champions League quarter-final draw: time, broadcast and everything you need to know

The eight qualified teams will know their respective rivals, as well as who they could play against in the semifinals and the hypothetical final at the Stade de France

This Friday is the draw for the Champions League quarterfinals. After a week in which the last teams got their ticket to this instance, from 11:00 GMT they will be able to see the new pairings. The event, which will be broadcast live and streamed on the official UEFA website, will be available on the ESPN channel.

After Villarreal's triumphs over Juventus and the Chelsea against Lille de France, the eight teams that will compete in the quarterfinals of the highest competition were known at the level of clubs of the world. The Spanish and English teams joined those already classified in the next instance. Together with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Atlético de Madrid and Benfica, they will meet their next rival during the draw that will take place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

In this instance, anyone can face anyone because everyone will share the same hype. In this way, clunes from the same country will be able to cross paths. In addition, they will not only be distributed for the quarterfinals, but also for the semifinals (that is, each one will meet their potential rivals in the semis and the final). Meanwhile, the respective locations will also be defined for administrative reasons.

It should be noted that UEFA announced that after the war provoked by Russia in Ukraine, the final of the competition, which was scheduled for Saturday 28 May in St. Petersburg, will finally move to the Stade de France on the same date.

The quarter-final draw includes three teams from the Spanish league, three from the Premier League, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

At the end of this draw, the Europa League quarter-finals will be held, a competition that includes Barcelona, Rangers, Lyon, Atalana, West Ham United, RB Leipzig, Sporting Braga and Frankfurt.

At the end of the Champions League draw, the Europa League quarterfinals will be held in the same place.
