Attack on a trans woman: two detainees accused of raping and beating her in Villa Lugano

The incident occurred in July 2020, as the victim, a trans woman, specified in her complaint. That was the day that three men threatened her with a firearm to have sex with them. The suspects then forcibly took her to vacant land inside Barrio 15, better known as the Occult City, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Lugano, where she was sexually abused and beaten.

For this crime, the Buenos Aires City Police arrested last night two men aged 23 and 25 in the Buenos Aires town of Ciudad Evita, in the province of La Matanza. Both are accused of raping and beating the trans woman in that wasteland of Hidden City. For the time being, it remains to capture a fugitive.

Out of fear, the victim made the complaint in October 2021. The case was left to the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 40, led by Paula Verónica González. In the complaint, the woman said that she was also harassed and threatened by the men, so they gave her an anti-panic button.

The Crimes Against Health and Personal Safety Division of the City Police focused on locating the defendants through field tasks, social media analysis and images from security cameras. They also obtained testimonies from neighbors who made it possible to clarify the fact and find the perpetrators. They found that the witnesses were also afraid of these subjects, so they agreed to testify only with reservation of identity.

With the data collected and established the addresses of the accused, the court was asked to authorize the searches. Simultaneously, they were carried out in two apartments in a building on 6900 Zuviría Street, in Lugano, and the remaining one in a building on Calle El Jume al 400, in Ciudad Evit a, in the Buenos Aires party of La Matanza, where two of the suspects were located.

The detainees were left at the disposal of the Court, which waits to take an inquiry from both of them. Investigators, at this hour, are looking for the third suspect.

On the other hand, this afternoon, the Quilmes DDI caught Omar and Diego G., two children's soccer coaches accused of grooming and sexual abuse in Quilmes. The suspects were together and trying to evade justice. After being officially charged by prosecutor Daniel Ichazo, the search to find them both lasted about 24 hours. In the next few hours they will be investigated. At the moment, there are three formal complaints against him, one for harassment and two for rape of minors aged 13 and 15.

The arrest of the two men, father and son, took place around noon in the vicinity of the Luján bus station.

“We think they were about to take a bus somewhere. We already knew that they couldn't be far away because they were out of money and they didn't have anyone to help them. It would not surprise us if, now that they are being detained, new complaints appear against them,” a source of the investigation explains to Infobae.

The follow-up to the two coaches began 24 hours ago. The Justice tapped their phones and followed the impact of the cell phone signal on the telephone antennas to determine the area in which they were located. They also detected a communication between the older of the two with a relative living in the north of the country. “We think he was about to take a wire there to hide,” the sources insisted to this media outlet.
