Wilder Cartagena is already in Lima and this morning will be present at La Videna with his colleagues to receive Ricardo Gareca's orders and get to work for the double date of the South American Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022. The wheel was consulted by the match against Uruguay in Montevideo and replied that “it is a final”.

Around six o'clock on Wednesday night, the midfielder stepped on the Jorge Chávez airport and on the way out he was surrounded by a large crowd of media, who were looking for a statement of the first international call-up who joined the works of the 'white-roja' for the last double Conmebol tournament date.

He first talked about how it comes and the importance of grief. “It's very important, it's a final, we take it that way. We are very motivated to give our best for the selection. It came very well, I worked the 90 minutes every game, I arrived with confidence and continuity”, commented the midfielder.

In addition, he was confident in getting a good result from his visit. “There is a lot of enthusiasm, but first we are going for the match against Uruguay, it is the most important one now. We're going to win. A very difficult match with a very difficult court. A rival with many important players, but I think the national team is capable. We will work to continue making history.

Finally, he told the fans of the 'white-red' to support this crucial moment. “I ask the fans to give a lot of encouragement, it's the moment we need it most. Peru needs to be together and we hope to give everyone a joy.”
