From 3:00pm Colombian time, the clubs of three Colombian footballers called by Reinaldo Rueda Rivera to the Colombia national team played for the double date of Conmebol qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022.

Rafael Santos Borré, Mateus Uribe and Luis Sinisterra had action on the afternoon of this Thursday, March 17 with Eintracht Frankfurt, Porto and Feyenoord. The first two for the UEFA Europa League and the Rotterdam team for the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Only the Dragão de Mateus Uribe team could not qualify for the quarterfinals after a 1-1 draw at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon against the French Olympique Lyonnais, who advanced to the next stage with an overall result of 2-1 after the decisive goal in the first leg made by Brazilian striker Lucas Paquetá. On the second leg, Uribe was a substitute and entered the game in France in the 57th minute replacing Stephen Eustáquio:

Well, Feyenoord from the Netherlands had no major problem entering the group of the eight best clubs of their respective competition in the Old Continent.

The second leg of the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League left Feyenoord Rotterdam as the main candidate to win the title of this tournament, the Dutch club that has not lost any games from the group stage to the round of 16 and where the Caucan left winger, Luis Fernando Sinisterra, plays.

The 22-year-old from the lower divisions of Once Caldas shone with a goal and an assist in the first leg victory of the round of 16 against FK Partizan turning a goal and two assists in the 2-5 victory against the Serbs and this Thursday, March 17, he started again as a starter in the 3-4-1-2 tactical scheme proposed by coach Arne Slot.

This Thursday Feyenoord managed to defeat Partizan 3-1 at home and eliminated the Serbs with total force in the 8-3 aggregate. Sinisterra played 80 minutes with the game fully resolved to give entry to Iranian midfielder Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

With the final whistle, Feyenoord entered the group of the best eight of the competition organized by UEFA and also managed to install: Leicester City (England); PAOK (Greece); Olympique Marseille (France); Bodø/Glimt (Norway); PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands); Slavia Prague (Czech Republic); and Rome ( Italy).

The Barranquilla ariete and former River Plate player played 83 minutes against Real Betis Balompié by Chilean engineer Manuel Pellegrini at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt this Thursday.

With seven minutes left to complete the 90 regulations in Germany, Borré came out to enter the Portuguese striker Gonçalo Paciência after having recorded this clear approximation of goal in the 42nd minute:

Unfortunately, once the 90 regulations were met at the Frankfurt Eagles' home, striker Borja Iglesias managed to score the 0-1 of the night that meant 2-2 overall after the final whistle on the lap.

Despite the setbacks that Borré presented in the first leg match in Seville, the Colombian team knew how to impose conditions in the extra time and qualified with suspense in the last play of the second overtime with a stopped ball goal converted by Martin Hinteregger after a previous cross by Filip Kostić. That last goal had to be revised by VAR to seal the final 3-2 in favor of the German Bundesliga team.

The result of the first leg in Spanish territory, where the Eagles won 1-2 with goals scored by Filip Kostić (14′), Nabil Fekir (30′) and Daichi Kamada (32′) was decisive. It should be remembered that in that game played on March 9, Borré missed a penalty and wasted many finishing options in front of the figure of Real Betis, the goalkeeper Chilean Claudio Bravo.

Along with Sporting Braga (Portugal); Atalanta (Italy); Rangers (Scotland); Olympique Lyonnais (France); RB Leipzig (Germany); and West Ham United (England), the Borré team will compete in the continental title following the quarter-final draw of the competition, which will take place this Friday, 18th of march.
