The rain on Wednesday night hit several municipalities in Antioquia again, causing a state of emergency that some citizens captured through cell phone videos.

One of the most shocking accidents was the collapse of a house in Bello, a metropolitan area of Medellín, where a growing valley swept through the property.

According to the Twitter account Denuncias Antioquia, the house was influenced by the La Madera Valley, located near Carrera 62, with Calle 21 A in the Barrio Nuevo and La Maruchenga divisions.

Citizens also sent a video of the flood on the road from Peñón to Guatapé to this account, which caused major traffic jams.

Even in the capital of Antioquia, mobility problems were reported near the shady feet of Villa Nueva, since the drains did not work and the water inside these mobility structures settled.

The Antioquia Risk Management Department (Dagran) announced earlier this month that the La Niña phenomenon was expanding rapidly in this department and issued an alert for 68 municipalities that would be at risk.

According to the Dagran bulletin, Antioquia Oriental is a sub-region with the municipalities with the most red alerts. Marinilla, La Union and San Francisco are in this situation.

To this was added Coccorná, more than 40 landslides that affected the rural and urban roads of the municipality. The landslide killed one person and four horses and injured at least three more humans. The landslide closed the Kokorna-Choco road, the Cocona-Granada road, the Cocona-Ramal road and the El Molino trail.

The municipality of Nariño is also receiving a red alert. Due to heavy rains in Nariño, there were 29 collapses on February 27, 10 of which were in urban areas and 19 in rural areas. Four homes and two families were affected.
