This is how you can participate in the special days to define your military situation

The Ministry of Defense has published the dates that will have special days for them to approach the military districts and to carry out the procedure for issuing the military book

In all 60 military districts, nationwide, citizens will be able to visit and access the benefits of these days, among which are: discounts to obtain the military book, discounts of up to 60% on military compensation fees and up to 90% discount for fines or penalties for remittances.

One of the requirements to receive the benefits is to register on the website www.libretamilitar.mil.co, there you will also be able to check which military district you should attend, days of care that range from 7 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon.

Some procedures and requirements are carried out virtually, for example: uploading the photocopy of the identity card, uploading the civil registry, presenting the copy of the bachelor's degree certificate; if applicable, or uploading the photo for the notebook that is 3x4 in size on a blue background.

The dates began last March 15 and go until April 30. The next day will run from 20 June to 20 July. Then it will be from September 7th to October 10th and the last of the year starts on December 1st until 16th of the same month.

Please note that you may be exonerated from providing this service if you fall within any of the 16 grounds set forth in Law 1861 of 2017:

- If he is an only child, male or female.

- The orphan of a father or mother who attends with his work to the subsistence of his siblings unable to earn a living.

- The Child of parents who are unable to work or over 60 years of age, when they have no income, pension or means of subsistence, provided that the child is watching over them.

- The brother or son who has died or acquired an absolute and permanent disability in combat, in acts of service or as a result of it, during the performance of compulsory military service.

- The children of officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers and marines, agents, executive level and the security forces, who have died.

- The clerics and religious according to the concordatory agreements in force. Likewise, the similar hierarchical ones of other religions or churches, permanently dedicated to their worship.

- Married people who live a married life.

- Those who prove the existence of legally declared de facto marital union.

- Persons with permanent physical, mental or sensory disabilities.

- Indigenous people who prove their cultural, social and economic integrity through certification issued by the Ministry of the Interior.

- Colombian men who, after registration, have ceased to have the male component in their civil registry.

- Victims of the armed conflict who are registered in the Single Register of Victims (RUV).

All these exceptions must be supported with documents and these can be reviewed on the website www.recruitamiento.mil.co, under the tab 'Definition of the military situation'.

To access the benefits offered by the Ministry of Defense, you must meet one of the 5 requirements: resignations or postponed due to high school and who did not show up at the end of their studies, citizens over 24 (over the maximum age of incorporation), persons declared unfit by the psychophysical fitness committees of the Recruitment Directorate, citizens abroad who demonstrate a minimum residence of 3 years, persons who declare they are exempt due to conscientious objection, to be an only child, to be in condition of permanent physical or mental disability and/or to be the head of the family.
