They arrested 3 suspected drug traffickers in operation in Sonora

The Sonora Prosecutor's Office arrested three people after a search of a home in Ciudad Obregon where several doses of enervating substances were secured.

According to a statement issued by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Sonora (FGJE), the detainees were secured together with drugs in a joint action with the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (CONASE), the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR) and the same prosecutor's office, as well as the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency ( AMIC).

The detainees in the operation were identified as Jesús Andrés “N”, 26-year-old El Neshi; Raúl “N”, The Mechanic, 52, and Edgar Eduardo “N”, known by the alias El Chilango, 24.

One of the detainees, Raúl “N.”, El Mecánico, has a record, from 2012 and 2013, for the crime of federal jurisdiction and drug abuse in the variant of possession of marijuana for sale.

The authorities carried out the operation in response to complaints about the probable sale of drugs at home.

Therefore, elements of CONASE, SEMAR and the Ministerial Agency for Criminal Investigation carried out perimeter surveillance of the house located in the Luis Echeverría neighborhood.

The action was carried out, with the authorization of the Judge, in endorsing data of evidence previously collected for crimes against health in the form of drug abuse in the variant of possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of sale.

The three persons insured were left at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as the matter insured, to proceed in accordance with the provisions of the law.

FGJE Expert Services personnel processed the property and collected as evidence 25 wrappers containing dry green grass with the characteristic marijuana.

They also secured two transparent plastic bags containing 57 wrappers with a white granulated substance with the glass-like characteristic, as well as securing cash (357 pesos) and two cell phones.
