On March 19, 20 and 21, the Jamming Festival will be held in Playa Hawaii in Ibagué (Tolima). The event was postponed since 2020, when it was suspended due to the pandemic, and it was postponed, like the rest of the large-scale events of the year. In addition, the organizers expanded their lineup, which became a great promise to earn several genres and a lot of money.

Rumors and doubts have also emerged, considering that such a large and unusual poster has freed itself from major crises and global restrictions. First, not all artists have a Jamming Festival date in the tour section of the official page.

In addition, some confirmed acts began to cancel performances at the event.

For example, the city group Black Eyed Pas reported on March 11 that they were unable to arrive to Colombia due to “uncontrollable circumstances”. The artists sent a message of affection to the fans and noticed the next time they performed in the United States.

Other artists such as Los Caferes, Maldita Bicindad, Jacure, Erie Kings, and Vicentico have also been out of the line. There was also confusion because it was presented to the UB40 group, but the one who will perform is Ali Campbell, a former member and founding member.

In addition to all these cancellations and questions, we added one more this Wednesday. Figures in show business, such as Julio César Escovar, shared the rumor that the company responsible for the logistics of events took a step back, probably because they did not have the money to pay.

According to national regulations, the absence of a logistics company two days before the start of the event means an imminent cancellation. Companies are required to design emergency plans and train employees with mandatory emergency protocols.

However, the claims created a bad environment where evidence was lacking and could be dangerous for the organizing company and others engaged in negotiations. So, some of those who spoke, began to delete their publications.

Since the damage has already been done, the Jamming organizers have issued a public statement about the current state of the event, asking the media not to fall into “false uncertainties aimed at stopping the good course of the festival.”

They said that there are four logistics companies: Open, GSP, VIP and Black and Red.

In addition, they were convinced that the event rally was already underway and that the logistics company was carrying out the tasks assigned to them on site.

On the other hand, the statement assures that Jaming is supported by the Government of Tolima, the Mayor's Office of Ibagué, the Colombian Army, the Police, the Relief Agency, the Red Cross, Civil Defense and Firefighters.

As a way to prove that they are not lying, the organizers of the festival uploaded Resolution 53 to their Instagram stories on March 16, 2022, and the Ibagué Mayor's Office gives a green light to the realization of the show.

Theoretically, this document is issued only if the organizer complies with all safety requirements and emergency protocols. Therefore, it will be the greatest proof that the event is still in progress.
