The jacquard fabric, sober colors and tight style of the Carolina Herrera dress that she wore in her audience in the North Prison (Mexico City), has attracted both attention and her connection to the process.

This Thursday, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc appeared for a hearing for her probable responsibility for crimes of theft, abuse of authority and discrimination against two elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security. Cuevas did so wearing a garment — worth about 13,000 pesos — which for many is an excessive expenditure on the official's fashion.

“Nothing brings you closer to the town than going out to defend yourself in a Carolina Herrera,” one user wrote on social networks.

The knitted design is part of the winter collection, according to the official website. The mayor of La Cuauhtémoc used it while a judge linked her to the trial and gave her two months as a deadline to resolve the case. During this period, Cuevas will not be able to exercise her power as councilor of the mayor's office. In addition, women are prohibited from leaving the country and from approaching the victims.

Before the meeting, Sandra Cuevas said she was ready for anything, including going to jail.

The mayor is a regular at the Spanish firm, in fact she has exhibited many other garments at different events, with her sober models and pastel colors, which have captured much of the attention of Mexicans.

A few weeks after his inauguration as head of the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office, Cuevas wore a red shirt dress. According to the official website of the designer, each garment of this type exceeds 10,000 pesos.

The stylish mayor is aware that clothes are a message that remains, so for a tour in the Obrera neighborhood (Cuauhtémoc) she again chose a set of the Venezuelan designer in yellow. It was made of lace and belongs to the spring edition.

Midi shirt dresses are Cuevas' favourites. With this look she was introduced to a Latinus program. To complement her style, the mayor wears watches from the luxury Swiss brand TAG HEUER AQUARACER, which is sold via email.
