'Encanto', Disney Animation Studios' animated film inspired by Colombian culture that hit theaters worldwide last November 2021, continues to be talked about on news portals. After it became known on March 13 that the feature film won the Bafta award for best animated film, new curiosities have emerged about the film.

The story is inspired by a family that lives in the mountains of the Cocora Valley in Colombia and who, thanks to an unfortunate family situation that occurs with the characters Pedro and Alma Madrigal, obtain different gifts thanks to a magic candle and with which they benefit the different people of the town in which the history.

One of the people in charge of lending her voice for the English version was the voice actress Stephanie Beatriz, who in an interview with Variety magazine for its website, told some unexpected situations that occurred during the recordings of the songs for the animated film.

According to the media outlet, when it came time to record the final song of 'Waiting on a Miracle' or 'Un regalo magico' in its spanish version, Stephanie Beatriz was pregnant and found herself, like Mirabel, in a dichotomy with her Disney family, since at that time she went into labor.

“I didn't want to tell anyone at Disney because I didn't want anyone to be scared, but I was already having some contractions when we were scheduled to record that day. I was like 'Well, I cross my fingers that the song ends before [the baby] is born! '” , said Beatriz in the interview, and the next day her baby was born, whom she named Rosaline.

On February 8, the nominations for the Academy Oscars were announced, there, the animated film 'Encanto' won three nominations. The first of them, with the song 'Two caterpillars' composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and performed by Sebastián Yatra, as Best Original Song.

Another nomination that was announced was in the Best Soundtrack category. Among the five candidates to win the award for the animated film, inspired by Colombian traditions. 'Encanto' was also nominated for Best Animated Film, in which it competes with 'Flee', 'Luca', 'The Mitchells vs The Machines' and 'Raya and the Last Dragon'.

In addition, Disney would be evaluating the creation of an amusement park with the theme of the animated film that has been a resounding success in cinemas worldwide.

The information began to become more popular after Lin-Manuel Miranda, the composer of the hit soundtrack for the animated film, spoke to the American newspaper The Wrap and confirmed that he did want the film to have its own attraction.

I want to get in and out of that little house, see its characters interact with the house. It's something that Disney, and no one else, can do,” the Puerto Rican filmmaker told the international media. But also, he said that this is already something he has discussed with the company. Miranda explained that she has raised her idea to Disney CEO Bob Chapek.
