A criminal gang had 20 kilos of marijuana in their possession. The Peruvian National Police (PNP) captured this gang that followed him from the Huamachuco mountain range to the intersection of San Germán Avenue with Universitaria in the neighborhood of San Martín de Porres, since that's where they were captured.
The vehicle had three people inside and five heavy packages. When people got out of the vehicle and carried the briefcases and that's where PNP comes in. People are in custody at the Mi Peru police station.
One of the inmates declined to respond, but one of the women involved mentioned that she had nothing to do with the event.
“I'm not to blame for anything, they took me by taxi from Plaza Norte and now I'm stopped, they wanted to go from Plaza Norte to José Aranda's location 35, they took me, it was my first race and I didn't know they had drugs, that's all I know,” he answered.
In addition, one of the criminals pointed out that he did not know her.
The Good Morning Peru reporter pointed out that each of these packages is valued at an average of 3,000 soles and that they have a total of about 15,000 soles, which is the cost of buying, but in Callao and other districts of Lima, the price varies.
IN PIURA, MEDICINES WERE SOLD TO MINORS AT A CLANDESTI PARTY
In Piura, crime reached its highest level, as a clandestine party involved the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics to participants and even for some minors , this was discovered by members of the Terna group of the Peruvian National Police (PNP).
After recognizing the fact, the Provincial Municipality of Piura announced that, through the search for monitoring measures, measures were being taken that could end with the permanent closure of these premises, events that would be distributed in the different districts of the Piurana region.
The mayor of Piura, Juan José Díaz, hopes that the central government will declare the region in a state of emergency due to crime, so that the military will help the PNP to restore order to the streets.
“We will be back at the government palace and what we say that this request for soldiers to take to the streets has been very well received by the prime minister and the president. Pedro Castillo,” he said.
Diaz regretted that the Minister of Defense, José Gavidia, did not approve this proposal.
“The Minister of Defense is the Prime Minister who gives good results of the joint actions carried out by the armed forces with the police in Lima and Callao; that is, he defends this measure for the capital and yet he does not agree that this measure be applied in the regions, whereas in Piura we are unfortunately also in Piura being victims of a series of organized armed gangs,” he said.
He added that the 7 parliamentarians of Piura agreed with this measure. “With this request we are making, we have the formal support that was expressed in a letter from the seven members of the Piura Congress of the various benches addressed to the Prime Minister, the Minister of the Interior and the President of the Republic,” he concluded.
The municipality proposes that the state of emergency in Lima and Callao last about three months so that soldiers can be on the streets, while motorcycles and PNP patrol cars that are in poor condition are recovered.
