IN PIURA DRUGS WERE SOLD TO MINORS AT A CLANDESTINE PARTY

In Piura, crime has reached its highest point, as a clandestine party involved the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics to attendees and including some who were minors, this was discovered by members of the terna group of the Peruvian National Police (PNP).

After acknowledging the fact, the Provincial Municipality of Piura, announced that through the search for control actions are being taken that could conclude in the final closure of these premises, events that would be distributed in the various districts of the Piurana region.

The mayor of Piura, Juan José Díaz, hopes that the Central Government will declare the region in a state of emergency due to crime, so that support the PNP in restoring order in the streets.

“We will be back at the Government Palace and what we are saying that this request for soldiers to take to the streets has been very well received by both the premier and the president. Pedro Castillo, he said.

Diaz regretted that the Minister of Defense, José Gavidia, did not approve this proposal.

“The Minister of Defense is the prime minister who gives good results from the joint actions being carried out by the Armed Forces with the Police in Lima and Callao; that is, he defends this measure for the capital and yet he does not agree that this measure should be applied in the regions, whereas in Piura we are unfortunately also in Piura being victims of a series of organized armed gangs,” he said.

He added that the 7 parliamentarians of Piura agree with this measure. “With this request that we are making, we have the formal support that has been expressed in a letter from the seven congressmen from Piura from the different benches addressed to the premier, the Minister of the Interior and the President of the Republic,” he concluded.

The Municipality proposes that the state of emergency in Lima and Callao should last approximately three months so that soldiers can be on the streets, while the PNP motorcycles and patrol cars that are in poor condition are recovered.
