Cesáreo Quezadas, known for having played Pulgarcito in his childhood, is unable to find work due to his criminal record, since in March 2021 he was released from prison after 19 years in prison, as he was accused of equal rape for sexually abusing his children.
On March 16, Cesáreo Quezadas announced that he has tried to find work since he regained his freedom, however, he has not been successful, because they do not accept him when they learn about his past in prison.
The exactor's goal is to be a taxi driver in Mérida, Yucatan, the city where he now lives, because he would like to be able to take tourists to the most beautiful places, he said in an interview with Ventaneando. However, they have refused you when you apply for employment because of your criminal record.
Now the children's history will try to fulfill its dreams of taking customers to tourist places in Mérida by buying a car and giving its services as a tour guide. Quezadas hopes to achieve this because during the time he was deprived of his freedom he learned English.
“(I have to) Buy a car as recent as possible to take tourism to beautiful places, and I learned a little English without mastering it. There, alone in my cell, I started studying English online and I understand that,” said Cesáreo.
In order to achieve his goal despite not currently having a job, Pulgarcito has in mind to put up for sale or auction an object that he loves, since it is a representation of the Virgin of Guadalupe painted on laminated gold, which is mounted on cedar wood.
“A work of art that I have, which I acquired 34 years ago, is a painting of the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe that is unique in its kind”, explained the exactor.
After having triumphed in cinema by starring in films such as Thumgarcito, Little Red Riding Hood and Thumb against the Monsters and Little Angels of the Trapeze, and having retired from acting, the histrion was sentenced to 20 years in prison for equated rape in April 2002, on the accusations of his children and ex-wives for abuse. Since then, he was deprived of his liberty until last March 2021.
He left prison before serving his full sentence because of his age. The actor, to date, continues to defend his innocence; he claims that one of his ex-partners allegedly invented the 11 charges for which he accused him, including rape, statutory rape and child pornography.
Claudia Burgos, his second wife, was the one who accused him before the authorities after he found a recording where he would have seen Quezadas sexually abuse Mariana, one of his six children. According to the Golden Age actor, this would have been a revenge for all his ex-partners, who would have come together to denounce him.
Even Cesareus alleged that the mothers of his children had managed to get him convicted of 10 of the 11 counts with lies, tricks and non-existent evidence. Some time later, Burgos assured that he would have found more videos of his ex-partner abusing their children after sedating them.
