Alex Tienda visited the Ventaneando forum, where he shared his experience being in Ukraine when the invasion and attacks of Russia began. Pedro Sola took the opportunity to share a photo with the youtuber, to whom he expressed his admiration.

On March 16, travel vlogger and documentarian José Alejandro Tienda Ramírez, better known as Alex Tienda, seen on the set of Ventaneando, as he made a media tour to talk about what his days were like in Ukraine, because at the end of February he decided to travel to this country when the pre-war environment became more tense and talk about the Russian invasion began to be talked about.

The 35-year-old influencer decided to leave Ukraine after the bombings began and let him know that his social media accounts had been hacked as his computer was stolen from the hotel where he left off.

Back in Mexico and after his visit to Ventaneando, Tienda caught the attention of netizens because Pedrito Sola shared a photo with the content creator and called it “pride for journalism”.

The responses to Sola's comments were not long in coming, as netizens criticized how the presenter described Tienda and the documentary filmmaker's coverage of first bombings by Vladimir Putin against Ukraine for his YouTube channel.

“There are Latino people who live in Ukraine, they do have an experience to tell, leave their homes, family, etc. This guy went to get where they don't call him just to monetize his channel”, “A pride I don't think. Perhaps an award for the most invented of the year, but pride of journalism not”, “A youtuber who PLAYED to be a journalist in order to get likes and views to market. The real journalists and war correspondents are still there... not giving interviews and strutting”, are some of the responses Pedro received on Twitter.

Tienda created controversy since he announced that he would stay in Ukraine even though the bombings had begun, claiming that he was making coverage for a documentary that he would later publish on his YouTube channel.

Some netizens questioned his actions, because while Ukrainian families were displaced from their country or hiding from Russia's attacks, he looked for ways to approach the bombed cities to do his job.

However, there were also Twitter users who celebrated the fact that Alex decided to dive into the war for a few days to report how an “ordinary citizen” lives it.

His coverage is good in my opinion, he did it from the point of view of an ordinary citizen”, “No journalist or reporter is called to any conflict. And they don't have to do it for free either. On the contrary, it is cool that there is someone who dared to go and share the experience, and if he earns money by the way, the better”, “I don't miss his reports, it's very professional”, Internet users expressed themselves.

Since February 19, Alex Tienda shared that he would enter Ukraine due to the tension that existed between that country and Russia. Later, when the bombings began, he decided to approach Donbas, one of the first regions to be attacked. Finally, on February 28, the travel vlogger announced that he had successfully left Ukraine.
