A faction of the National Action Party (PAN) announced that it would reject the National Guard report in the Senate of the Republic, claiming that the federal government's security strategy failed.
At the press conference, Senator Damián Zepeda Vidales did not achieve results, especially because of the public security strategy: “militarization of the country” is a clear failure.
He said that given his position, this was a sufficient reason for Senator Acción Nacional to reject the National Guard report.
Jepeda Vidales also stated that there are currently 114,000 members of the National Guard in Mexico; however, he questioned the figures and claimed that despite the large number, there is still a high level of anxiety.
In light of this, he recalled in the Morena government that “there were already three times more murders” than the six-year term of former President Felipe Calderon, and twice as many as former President Enrique Peña Nieto.
So he said that out of the total number of elements in the National Guard, about 90,000 people came from the army. “Where is the Civil Guard, which they promised? It is a fraud in the law, a constitutional fraud, and the National Guard is an absolute failure.”
Zepeda Vidales also stressed that she was not active on the part of the federal government. “The reality is killing people, shooting people in Mexico, besieging cities, kidnapping and robbing them. What is the government doing? There's nothing! They want to reform the National Guard because they are on the path of militarization.”
Finally, the politician Sonoran called for the creation of the Civil Security and Protection Office and the Chief of the National Guard and an immediate change in public security strategy.
Since last February, it is not the first time that the President of Mexico has broken his speech due to controversy over the government of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrado, of the Senator of the National Action Party.
According to Senator Panista, a statement of austerity and honesty, the two most important badges in Tabasqueño's speech exceeded the “terrible” result of the chief executive (CEO) of López Obrador.
He was also convinced that the opposition could weaken the party that led Lopez Obrado to its presidency, Moreno de Regeneration Nacional (Morena). He recalled that in last year's elections, other political groups could assume the governor of several countries of the Republic, such as PAN.He recalled that in last year's election, the Mexican Green Ecologist Party (PVEM) in Queretaro and Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, and San Luis Potosi I joined.
One of the main criticisms of Zepeda's statement was the economic sector. He found that more than 55 million people did not have enough income to eat, and 16 million Mexicans may be unemployed, underemployed, or employed.
