Nintendo fans do not let the Japanese company move with all the discretion it would like and began to viralize on networks a patent that was made public at the beginning of the year. The extract from the log describes a new idea for a joystick that many find similar to that of the Nintendo 64 console.
The patent application was made in July 2021 and describes a control with internal battery to give it wireless autonomy and a classic cross-button format. At the top are two simple triggers divided by a plastic portion of uncertain functionality.

The description of the European Patent Office shows the following description for the written record of the design: “A game controller which according to the present disclosure includes: a housing and a body internal structural housed inside the housing. The internal structural body includes at least one inner frame having an installation surface and a recess adjacent to the installation surface; a battery that is housed in the recess of the inner frame and has a first surface that opposes a bottom surface of the recess and a second surface on an opposite side to that of the first surface; and a flexible substrate that is installed on the installation surface of the inner frame and includes a conductive pattern. “The flexible substrate is arranged to cover at least a part of the second surface of the battery housed in the recess.”
Its shape and the location of its buttons are quite dissimilar to the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and has a wide difference from the latest Joy-Cons patent published in 2019, which raises the question as to whether it will really be for the company's famous laptop.

While Sony taught the public that not all patents come true, fans are waiting for news about a Nintendo Switch update in view of the console having already reached half its lifespan which was projected by the Japanese company.
