Miss Peru La Pre: Evelyn Vela reveals that her daughter participated in the pageant and had a terrible experience

The organization of Miss Peru La Pre is in the eye of the storm after electing Kyara Villanella, daughter of Keiko Fujimori; Gaela Barraza, daughter of 'Tomate' Barraza; and Alondra Huarac, daughter of Nilver Huarac as three of the four winners. It should be noted that Mia Loveday accompanies the so-called 'daughters of the famous' at the coronation.

Given this, the criticism and denunciations of alleged favoritism have not ceased and now the one of Evelyn Vela, who spoke in an interview with a local media outlet about the terrible experience she had with her youngest daughter Anne Thorsen when she decided to enter her in the beauty pageant.

According to statements from the popular 'Queen of the South', her firstborn was participating in 2021 and began by pointing out that, apparently, Jessica Newton was not aware of the lack of care and disqualification of his daughter.

“Anne was last year (2021) at Miss Peru La Pre. Everything was going well, but I think Mrs. Jessica didn't know about this, because she was traveling in a contest,” she said for the newspaper La República.

She also stated that the 16-year-old had a lot of support from the public and that she was among the 10 semifinalists. However, from one moment to the next, the organization decided to elect other young girls, achieving a disappointment in Anne.

“She was in the top 10, I don't know if I remember correctly, a lot of people supported her and told her that she had to submit a video at 4 p.m. as at 3 p.m. she sent the video and they told her: 'Oh, no daughter, we already qualified, '” he said.

“(Anne asks): 'So I'm out? ' , and (they say): 'No, but don't worry, we're going to put your video', the last video was not rated, it was useless. Then my daughter had a really hard time, she was disappointed, because she was confident that she could suddenly stay in a position,” he added.

EVELYN WAS DISAPPOINTED

During her interview, she confessed that she too was very disappointed to the point of wanting to publicly spread what happened, but it was her daughter who asked her not to do so. “I was super disappointed. I wanted to talk about this (at the time), but she asked me to please not, because she knows that I am a little impulsive.”

Finally, she did not hesitate to comment on the negative comments that the winners are receiving and assured that it is a shame, since they are still considered as girls.

“I feel very sorry for these little girls, because I know how my daughter went through it, right now they are attacking them in networks, and they are not to blame, the organization is to blame. If there has been anything, we don't know, the people in charge of this beauty organization have to come out and talk”, he said.

WHO WERE THE JURIES OF MISS PERU LA PRE?

Jessica Newton was one of four members of the jury of the contest's grand final. In addition to looking for a physically beautiful teenager, I also wanted a young girl who is committed to proudly wearing the crown of Miss Peru La Pre in international competitions.

He is the official dentist of the entire Miss Peru platform, Doctor Polo, was part of the juries. In the contest, the dental surgeon not only noticed the teeth of the contestants, but also the maturity of their answers in the final interview.

Monica Chacon is a former model and Miss Peru 1997. In this case, Monica assured that the 10 finalists had enough beauty and intelligence to be a future miss. However, she as a jury was looking for a teenager with a plus that would make her special.
