The protests against President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) have not stopped a minute since he arrived at the National Palace. Every day, citizens and opposition politicians generate new ways of expressing their discontent.
With denunciations, blankets, statements or tweets, the dissatisfied only seek to show their discontent, criticize the Fourth Transformation (Q4) or make fun of the government. An example of this is the senator of the National Action Party (PAN), Lilly Tellez.
Since leaving the ranks of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), she has become one of the strongest opponents of López Obrador and his administration, so she has occupied more than one strategy to raise her voice against the shortcomings of Q4.
This Wednesday was no exception. During the session of the House of Senators, the former journalist asked for the floor during the intervention of Claudia Anaya Mota of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in the debate on Morena's proposal to modify the concept of government propaganda.
He then took his cell phone out of his pocket and played the sounds of a sheep. The other senators did not interrupt the participation, and they even started laughing. Moments later, Senate Vice President José Narro Céspedes said that by not contributing anything, the debate would continue.
However, the cries began in the House to protest the earlier end of Tellez's intervention. The video of this moment was shared by the senator herself, who accompanied it with an ironic message: “The sheep jump before the voice of the chief.”
In another tweet, Tellez explained that the sound was not broadcast by an animal, but by the federal president himself during a “brainy message”, which was broadcast in 2019 within the framework of the National Congress of Morena.
“It is not just any sheep, it is the voice of the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, sending a brave message to the brunette bench,” said the panist.
Finally, he shared the excerpt of those AMLO statements with the following message as a mockery: “And the senate rumbled: 'You are an honooor... to bawl with Obrador. '
López Obrador and broadcast the bleating of a sheep during the morning press conference on October 28, 2019, within the framework of the National Congress of Morena, asked citizens not to allow themselves to be manipulated as “sheep” and to act as democrats,
“Accepting without granting because I have no elements to judge, nor should I get involved, but substantive reflection is important, there are no imaginary citizens anymore, there are no sheep anymore. Where are they going? , mee; who do you vote for? , mee. There's no more that. A round of applause for the politicization that exists in our people since it is at the most we have made progress. If not, I would be on the ground,” he pointed out from the National Palace.
On the reform that promotes Mexican officials to be able to individually promote electoral processes and the Revocation of Mandate, regardless of the period of closure, was approved in commissions of the Senate of the Republic this Tuesday, March 15.
The amendment proposes changing the concept of government propaganda contained in the General Law on Electoral Institutions and Procedures (LGIPE) and the Federal Law on the Revocation of Mandate (LFRM), to specify that if references to electoral processes or the revocation of mandate or other processes elections are not made from the budget, they will not be taken into account as propaganda.
