Liga 2: this is how the 13 dates of the Apertura Tournament of the second division of Peru will be played

After the draw has been postponed due to time issues, finally on March 17 the event was held to find out all the details of the League 2 and the dates of the Opening and Closing Tournament. In total there will be 13 dates in a decentralized way, round trip. In addition, it was known that this year one will be lowered to Copa Peru, so that the next year it will probably be played with an even number in teams.

The event was led by Víctor Villavicencio, general manager of the Professional League, who gave a few words of thanks to the attending media and gave some scopes of this year's format, which will be played with odd numbers (13 teams), something that hasn't happened since 2018.

Let's remember that the promotion will continue the same as in 2021. The first in the accumulated table will go directly to the first division of Peruvian football and the second place will play the revalidation against a club of the highest category (17th place in the accumulated table of Liga 1).

Another important point that clubs will be able to have up to five foreign players in their ranks and they can all be present on the pitch during matches. On the other hand, Liga 2 asks teams to add a total of 1440 minutes in the stock market with players category 2002, including, or under.
