This is how they qualified a lot what happened at Pascual Guerrero in the match between América de Cali and Independiente Medellín for the Copa Sudamericana and in which 'El Poderoso' won from penalties and advanced to the next round. Recall that those led by Julio Avelino Comesaña won 2-1 at Athanasio, while the Red Devils made their home respected and won by the same score, so the key was defined from the eleven steps.

Independiente Medellín achieved their qualification by beating America from penalties by beating them 3-1 and took the quota for the group stage of the Copa Sudamericana. Despite the victory of the Paisa team, one of the great protagonists of the match and who gave a lot to talk about was the coach of the vallecaucano club, Juan Carlos Osorio.

The risaraldense coach is on everyone's lips after the Independiente Medellín player, Juan David Mosquera, fell close to the coach of the rival team, who was close to the line of play. Juan Carlos Osorio observed it and then stomped the Poderoso player and this action was recorded on the cameras of the match broadcast.

Once the player felt the coach's stomp, he got up and pushed him, something that even the coach of América de Cali claimed. The referee Alexis Herrera of Venezuela, realized what the Independiente Medellin player did, but did not notice what Osorio did, for which he received no sanction.

This generated all kinds of comments on social media, journalists, former players, commentators and fans criticized what happened. Even the coach of Independiente Medellín referred to what happened to his player and the coach of the rival team and stated that Juan Carlos Osorio needs help.

“It's a delicate subject, I was surprised. When it was the play I didn't realize it, but then I watched the replay. I think Juan Carlos, whom I love very much and with whom I have a very nice relationship, is not right,” said the Uruguayan coach in an interview with the 'Primer Toque' program of Win Sports.

The Independiente Medellín coach went further and mentioned the possibility that Juan Carlos Osorio would have to visit some specialist. “He has to review his behaviors because it gives me the feeling that he will have to visit a specialist, I don't know if the stress of football, the difficulties he's had or all the struggle he's had with America.”

And he added that, “sometimes you don't realize that you're getting sick. I saw it with some gestures towards the players that do not correspond. He was lucky that Mosquera is a very quiet 20-year-old boy because if he does it to an older man I wouldn't have been surprised if they hit him and what happens there is a disaster.”

Juan Carlos Osorio, for his part, decided to skip what happened with player Juan David Mosquera and criticized his team for giving up the ball to the rival in some stages of the match. “We conceded another children's detained ball, about 5, 10 years ago I did not see a goal of that nature, a risk collection and we were so weak to defend the stopped ball”.

Finally, the coach stated that, “we were sad. We were won by a big tournament team. In open play he has surpassed all the rivals, not us, we competed as equals, we were worthy of more goals”.
