The Ministry of Defense announced a date that would be a special day to approach the military district and carry out the procedure for issuing military books.

In all 60 military districts of the country, citizens can visit and take advantage of the benefits of these days. Among them are discounts on military books, discounts of up to 60% on military compensation fees, discounts of up to 90% on fines for fines or money transfers, etc.

One of the requirements to receive benefits is to register on the website www.libretamilitar.mil.co. You can also check the military district where you need to attend, the days of treatment from 7 am to 6 pm.

Some procedures and requirements are performed virtually (e.g. uploading a copy of ID, uploading a civil register, presenting a copy of a bachelor's degree certificate). If applicable, or upload a photo of a 3x4 laptop on a blue background.

The date starts on March 15 and runs until April 30.The next day will run from June 20 to July 20.Then it will be from September 7 to October 10, and the last year will start from December 1 to 16 of the same month.

You may be exempted from providing this service if one of the 16 grounds specified in Law 1861 of 2017 is true.

- If he is the only child, male or female.

- An orphan from a father or mother who attends work for the livelihood of a brother or sister who cannot earn a living.

- Children of parents who are not able to work or are over 60 years of age when they do not have income, pension or means of subsistence. However, your child must be spying on your child.

- A brother or son who died or acquired absolute and permanent disability during the performance of compulsory military service, in combat, acts of service, or as a result of it.

- Children of deceased officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers and marines, agents, executive level and security forces.

- Clergy and religion according to the consensus agreement in force. Likewise, similar hierarchies of other religions or churches are permanently committed to their worship.

- Married people living in marriage.

- Those who prove the existence of a legally declared de facto marriage union.

- Persons with permanent physical, mental, or sensory disabilities

- Indigenous people certifying their cultural, social and economic integrity through certifications issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

- Colombian men who, after registration, did not have male components in the Civil Registry.

- Victims of armed conflict registered in the Single Victim Registration (RUV).

All these exceptions must be supported along with the documentation and can be reviewed on the “Definition of the military situation” tab on the website www.recruitamiento.mil.co.

To access the benefits offered by the Ministry of Defense, one of the five requirements must be met: Persons who are postponed due to resignation or high school and who do not show up at the end of their studies, citizens over 24 years of age (maximum incorporation age or older), persons declared unsuitable for psychophysical health Board of Directors, overseas citizens proving at least 3 years of residence, persons declaring exempted due to conscientious objections, sole child, permanent physical or mental disability status and/or person declaring that they are the head of the family.
