It is a way to participate in a special day to define the military situation.

The Ministry of Defense has announced a date that will be a special day for approaching the military region and conducting the procedure for issuing military books.

In all 60 military districts of the country, citizens can visit and take advantage of these days. Among them, discounts on military books, discounts of up to 60% on military compensation, discounts of up to 90% on fines or money transfers, etc.

One of the requirements for eligibility is to register at www.libretamilitar.mil.co. You can also check the military district where you need to be present, treatment days from 7am to 6pm.

Some procedures and requirements are performed virtually (e.g. uploading a copy of an identity card, uploading a civil status record, submitting a copy of a bachelor's certificate). If applicable, or upload a photo of a 3x4 laptop with a blue background.

The date starts on March 15 and will last until April 30. The next day will be from June 20 to July 20, then from September 7 to October 10, and the last year will start from December 1 to December 16 of the same month.

You may be exempt from this service if one of the 16 grounds specified in Law 1861 of 2017 is true.

- If he's an only child, man or woman.

- An orphan from a father or mother who goes to work to support a brother or sister who cannot earn a living.

- children of parents who cannot work or who have reached the age of 60, if they have no income, pension or means of subsistence. However, your child must be spying on your child.

- a brother or son who died or received a complete and permanent disability during compulsory military service, combat operations, service or as a result of its completion.

- Children of deceased officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers and marines, agents, managers and security forces.

- Clergy and religion in accordance with the current consensus agreement. Similarly, similar hierarchies of other religions or churches are constantly committed to their service.

- Married people living in a marriage.

- Those who prove the existence of a legally declared de facto marriage.

- People with permanent physical, mental or sensory impairment

- Indigenous peoples certifying their cultural, social and economic integrity on the basis of certificates issued by the Ministry of the Interior.

- Colombian men who, after registration, did not have male components in the civil register.

- Victims of armed conflicts registered in the Single Victim Registration System (RUV).

All these exceptions must be supported by documentation and can be reviewed on the Definition of War tab at www.recruitamiento.mil.co.

In order to access the benefits offered by the Ministry of Defense, one of five requirements must be met: persons who were delayed due to dismissal or high school and who did not show up for graduation, citizens over 24 years of age (maximum age of registration or older), persons declared unfit for the Board of Directors for Psychophysical Health, foreign citizens residing not less than 3 years of age, conscientious objectors, only child, permanent physical or mental status, and/or person claiming to be the head of household.
