He had been arrested 6 days ago, went out and robbed again: he died after a chase in Parque Chacabuco

Apparently, he preferred women. First, this Thursday he assaulted, knife in hand, two sex workers whom he deceived by inviting them to climb into his gray Ford Fiesta. Then, he snatched the wallet from another victim, which he dragged when he escaped. In both cases, they reported it to 911. Thus, a chase began in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Parque Chacabuco in which the City Police even shot him. It all culminated when the suspect crashed and died. Now, it is investigated whether he died as a result of a shot or because of the accident.

The chase began around 9 o'clock in Cachimayo at 1800, about 150 meters from School No. 15 and Kindergarten No. 3, followed Castañares and José María Moreno avenues, and at the intersection of Riglos and República, a residential and passageway area, meters from the Abraham Zinny School, shots were fired. Even this afternoon experts from the Federal Police were still working in search of traces, since the Justice wants to investigate whether there was no abuse by the City's troops.

The truth is that the deceased thief had a record for robberies. On September 17, 2018, he was denounced for an assault on a property and on March 11, he had been caught for an attempted robbery in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Constitución. Six days after that last act, he was still committing crimes: he died escaping from the police.

It had all started long before around 9 o'clock he assaulted and dragged a woman down the street in Cachimayo at 1800. It is that, according to sources of the case, the offender approached two sex workers and invited them to climb into his gray Ford Fiesta deceived. Once inside the car, they were threatened with a knife, threatened and assaulted: he took all the money they had and their cell phones. Then he escaped. The victims immediately gave 911 notice: they described the car and the patent. It was key.

Around 9 o'clock, the offender observed a new victim: a woman walking with a backpack through Cachimayo at 1800. There, he surprised her to rob her, threw her to the floor, dragged her and finally fled with her wallet, in which she carried a cell phone, her wallet and all the documentation.

After the denunciation of this new victim, the police from the neighborhood police station 7B - who were already looking for the suspect because of the call to 911 of the assaulted sex workers - observed him and began the persecution that culminated in the clash and death of the offender.

According to a first account made by the police officers, during that chase there was a shooting in which the porteños agents fired at the tires of the suspect's car. Then, it was that the Ford Fiesta collided with a private car that was parked: when the officers approached they noticed that the driver of the vehicle was already dead.

Immediately, the intervention was given to the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 20, led by Hugo Decaria, and the Prosecutor's Office No. 47 of Marcelo Solimine, who this afternoon supervised the work carried out by the experts. The truth is that, as in the death of the offender, the City Police participated, the experts were in charge of the Federal Police, since they want to establish whether there was any type of abuse of the troops who participated in the persecution.

The second victim who was assaulted this Thursday by the dead offender recognized him as the one who had dragged her to get her wallet.
