The popular actor and comedian exclusively revealed to Infobae México everything about the new reality show Resistiré, where Faisy will not only be its main host but will also explore a phase never seen before on television, because this time the comedy was left aside by having a more serious tone where under his rules the contestants understood that to resist “you have to bare your soul in such extreme circumstances.”
The new Paramount + program that will be released next Monday, March 21 through this streaming platform and the main MTV signal will be hosted by the intrepid comedian and Estefanía Ahumada, who from a paradisiacal beach in Latin America will be those responsible for guiding its 16 participants of different nationalities.
The popular Mexican television face narrated his experience in the project that was recorded out of tierra Azteca: “He left me a lot of learning. Not only because I went to record outside my country but because we also recorded in a bubble; they took every precaution so that in this time of pandemic they would make a project of high quality and what was required of us was to be in a bubble. I had never had the opportunity to host an endurance reality show, where they are competing was quite a challenge, but it was also as therapy that helped me,” he said.
The dramatic change that viewers will be able to observe in the way they guide a program is one of the most anticipated things of the second season of the reality show, where great personalities such as Brenda Zambrano, Fernando Lozada and Eduardo Miranda Chile compete for half a million dollars.
“Yes, he obviously demanded a lot more from me, but I love it. I always like to move outside my comfort zone and in this case I also tried to use, many of them already knew me or had seen me in other programs or had listened to me a little on the radio and knew a little bit about my personality, I think that helped us a little bit to connect, to be vulnerable and to seek to carry a message different in terms of the programs we have seen about competition and extremes on television,” he added.
Faisy, who confessed that there will be times when he will be serious or very demanding and will lay down the rules, also assured that all the circumstances that are experienced within Resistiré make it inevitable that more people will be involved with the cast and to some extent understand many of the “plays” that are made as “bad as they may become” considered” in the rest of the members.
“It's the most complicated thing, it's what I learned. I can't be objective, I'm very easy to connect, I'm very sensitive, I don't like it when someone is angry or sad and from my trench, my point and respecting the rules and everything I tried to make the participants feel comfortable so that they continue to resist, but maybe I can't be the cold driver to what they are usually used to seeing the truth in a project like this,” he confessed.
In the production, which took very delicate care of all the protocols to avoid any type of infection with COVID-19 - since it was recorded at the end of 2021 - generated a reinforcement of friendships that Faisy had already had before joining the program, but as the recordings went on they intensified.
“There were many that I had already taken me with since before, such as Chile because I was in Acapulco Shock, Estefanía Ahumada with whom I got along incredible, Brenda Zambrano... there are many that I have gotten along with but I think that from the beginning the way we connected and the rules as they were put on made us show ourselves very much in the role that we it was time to play”, he finished.
