Cambodia suspends forced COVID testing for travelers

Phnom Penh, Cambodia (AP) — Cambodia announced on Thursday the easing of restrictions due to the pandemic, including the removal of the requirement that all travelers have to be tested for the virus.

Health Minister Mam Bunheng announced that vaccinated travelers will no longer need to do a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arriving in the United States.The new rules will take effect immediately.

Moreover, foreign visitors no longer need to undergo a rapid antigen test before entering the country, but are encouraged to do so on their own, the statement said.

Cambodia will also reissue visas at land, sea and air entry points, the minister said.

However, travelers who are not fully vaccinated should be quarantined for 14 days after entry.
