PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) — Cambodia announced Thursday a relaxation of restrictions imposed by the pandemic, including the removal of the requirement that all travellers be tested for the virus.

Travelers who are fully vaccinated will no longer have to show a negative PCR test within 72 hours before arriving in the country, health minister Mam Bunheng announced. The new rules take effect immediately.

Foreign visitors, moreover, will no longer have to take the rapid antigen test before entering the country, although they are encouraged to do so on their own, the statement says.

Cambodia will also reissue visas at points of entry by land, sea and air, the minister said.

Travelers who are not fully vaccinated, however, still have to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the country.
