At the beginning of 2022, the Mayor's Office implemented a special peak and plaque on the holiday bridges for entry to the city, a measure that will be applied again this Monday in the nine main corridors of entry to the capital.
Infobae Colombia has the data of the measure:
The pick and plate will work in turns:
Until noon, all cars will be able to enter.
From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., only cars whose license plate ends in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8) can enter.
From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., only cars whose license plate ends in an even number (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9) may enter.
After 8:00 p.m., all cars will be able to enter.

In order to avoid penalties, it is worth remembering that it is forbidden to park cars on the road before the entrance to Bogotá, a behavior that is punishable.
Penalties for non-compliance with the peak and plate measure are stipulated in the National Traffic Code for infringement C.14: “Transit through restricted sites or at times prohibited by the competent authority. In addition, the vehicle will be immobilized.” The fine is equivalent in 2021 to $447,000, which will be adjusted to 2022 rates on January 1.
Mayor Claudia López explained, at the time of announcing the restriction, she explained that “it is a measure analyzed as a Metropolitan Region between the mayor's office of Bogotá, the Traffic Police, with the Government of Cundinamarca and the municipalities neighboring the capital and that it will apply during all public holiday bridges in 2022 ″.
Among the exceptions that exist to be able to get the car out during the days of Pico and Plaque, there is a measure known as Carpooling, and through this initiative drivers can share their vehicle with three or more people throughout the journey they are going to take and there must be a prior registration with the Secretariat of Mobility.
Registration must be done every week, starting on Saturdays and ending on the following Friday. Regardless of the day the form is filled out, the permit can be used at any time, the important thing is that when moving the vehicle there are three more people inside it.
“If a person wants to make trips in their vehicle in two separate weeks, then they will have to check in twice. Please note that on Saturdays at 00:00 hours the records in the database of excepted persons included for this reason will be deleted”, reported Mobility Bogotá.
Despite having the permit from the Mayor's Office, if the vehicle is stopped by the authorities and does not go with the three persons required by the rule, the driver may be given a complaint and even immobilized the car.
