In cities like Bogotá, strategies such as “open skies” are being implemented, not only to protect hundreds of companies and festivities, but also for biosafety issues.

Restaurants, markets, and many businesses have used to continue to promote this measure even after the progress of the National Immunization Plan. Now the capital of the country has decided to adapt the “Alimentarte” festival to this initiative in order to ensure greater coverage.

Yes, the largest gastronomic event in the country can now be enjoyed in the open air. This is one of the two great novelties of the 2022 edition. The second is that you can enjoy the culinary offer in four different regions of the capital. In the four towns you will not only have the opportunity to taste the best dishes of national and international cuisine, but also learn culinary tips from experts and try different preparations.

“Feed the Sky” will open in the town of Te Casquillo on Saturday, March 19 next week, and it will be held until the 21st of the same month. You will then move to the town of Kennedy, where between March 20 and 21, El Tintal Park (in front of the library) will be the main stage.

Experts invited to the festival

Before you get acquainted with the panel, you need to consider some recommendations. The first is that the doors open from 12 noon to 6 p.m., and are “pet friendly” with free entry. Well, if you want to join the first day of Simon Bolivar Park, you can access it from entrance 4.

- On Saturday, March 19, chefs Karen Torres, Oscar González and Andrea Sarmiento will attend cooking and pastry classes.

- On Sunday, March 20, Alejandro Gutierrez and Adriana Medina will teach us Peruvian ceviche and chicken wok.

- On Monday, March 21, there will be Ana Maria Torres and Harry Sasson who will serve truffles, creme brulee and suspirode meringue.

On the other hand, those who want to exhibit their projects at the fair must register on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development. There you will find a form where you need to attach multiple files and check different information about your business.

Currently, if the person who wishes to register belongs to a vulnerable community or ethnic group, they will have access to some additional benefits and will have to fill out a separate form, which is also available on the Secretariat's portal.

Finally, it is worth remembering that applications will be accepted until April 5, and if the registration is approved, they will have the right to participate in the four places covered by this edition of the gastronomic festival.
