In cities like Bogotá, strategies such as 'Open Sky' have been implemented, not only to preserve hundreds of enterprises and festivities, but also for biosafety issues.

Restaurants, market places and many businesses have used this measure in order to continue promoting it after the advances of the National Vaccination Plan. Now, the capital of the country decided to adapt the 'Alimentarte' festival to this initiative in order to have a wider reach.

Yes, the largest gastronomic event in the country can now be enjoyed in the open air, this being one of the two great novelties of its 2022 edition. The second is that the culinary offer can be enjoyed in four different areas of the country's capital: four towns will have the opportunity not only to taste the best dishes of national and world cuisine, but also to learn, from experts, tips for cooking and trying various preparations.

'Feeding in the open sky' will open in the town of Teusaquillo next Saturday, March 19th and will run until the 21st of the same month. Afterwards, it will move to the town of Kennedy, with El tintal park (in front of the library) being the main stage during 20 and 21 March.

On April 2nd and 3rd, 'Alimentarte' will arrive at Parque San Andrés, located in the Bochica neighborhood, in the town of Engativá, and will end its tour in Puente Aranda on the 23rd and 24th of the same month, specifically in the Zonal Park of Ciudad Montes.

The experts who will be invited to the festival

Before getting to know the panel, you should take into account several recommendations: the first is that the doors will open from 12 noon to 6 in the afternoon, admission will be free and it is also 'Pet friendly'; there will even be cooking classes from opening until 4 in the afternoon. Now, if you want to attend the first day at Simon Bolivar Park, access will be through entrance 4.

- On Saturday, March 19, we will have Chef Karen Torres, Oscar González and Andrea Sarmiento, with cooking and pastry classes.

- On Sunday, March 20, Alejandro Gutiérrez and Adriana Medina will teach you Peruvian Ceviche and chicken wok.

- On Monday, March 21, we will have Ana Maria Torres and Harry Sasson, who will offer truffles, Creme Brulee and Suspiro de meringue.

On the other hand, for those who want to exhibit their projects at the fair, they will have to register on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development; there they will find a form where they will have to attach several files and confirm various information regarding their business.

Now, if those who want to register belong to a vulnerable community or ethnic group, they will be able to access several additional benefits and will have to fill out another form that is also available on the Secretariat's portal.

Finally, it is worth remembering that applications will be open until April 5 and, if registration is approved, they will have the right to participate in the four locations covered by this edition of the gastronomic festival.
