On March 14, a new case of police abuse was released through Twitter, this time in the town of Bosa, south of Bogotá. A security camera captured the moment when, in the middle of a procedure, one of the uniformed men, who is identified by residents of the sector as a colonel of the institution, beats a young man who was standing in front of a commercial premises several times.
The citizen was together with two women in the vicinity of a night establishment; they left the place at the request of the policeman, and then it is observed how he punches the victim in the face. But this was not the only irregular aggression.
The camera caught that two other uniformed men forcibly removed another young man who was recording that procedure with his cell phone: while one approached him from the back and removed him from the site, another threw several blows, apparently, on the boy's legs.
This police intervention was carried out within the framework of the dry law established for this weekend by the elections held last Sunday the 13th.
The complaint was replied by the representative to the House, Inti Asprilla, who stated on his Twitter account that it is the second case of police abuse that he has recently known in Bogotá locality 7, and asked in passing if anyone knew the colonel who attacked the first young man.

The Police Response
According to details collected by El Espectador, both young men did not suffer serious injuries; however, they warned about these practices of the members of the institution, especially the colonel, who is the head of the uniformed in that locality. In response, the Metropolitan Police issued a statement explaining what happened.
According to MEBOG, the events took place in a bar that apparently failed to comply with the restriction of the Dry Law decreed by the district government. They also detailed that some policemen have also been injured in the proceedings; however, there is no clarity regarding the colonel's actions.
“On March 12, in full coordination with the Bosa Mayor's Office, surveillance, inspection and control plans were carried out. At approximately midnight, an establishment open to the public with the company name 'Dubai' is verified, who were in violation of the dry law”, specifies the statement of the institution, highlighting that in the middle of the operation, the administrator of the premises was informed that it was in breach of the restriction, since in its inside there were several people consuming liquor.
“The documents of the establishment are requested and grotesquely informs - the manager - does not provide the documents of the premises,” said the operational commander of citizen security zone 3, Colonel Henry Pabón, who gave details about the alleged attack on the uniformed.
“In this brawl, Mr. Colonel Commander of the Bosa Police Station is injured, and two more uniformed men, to whom the Institution of Legal Medicine gives a disability due to trauma and bruises, of eight, four and two days, respectively,” and with regard to the aggressions caused by the agents and the colonel, he clarified that the the internal control office is investigating this action to carry out the corresponding measures.
