Even practicing sports, the woman does not spare macho attacks in Colombia, as happened to Tatiana Orjuela, a high-performance Bogotá cyclist who was assaulted by a sexual harasser when she finished training on a highway in eastern Antioquia.
According to the local sports portal Mística Deportiva, members of the Avinal-El Carmen de Viboral team were pedaling along the way from the University of Antioquia to Rionegro when a fallen man chased her on a motorcycle and assaulted her in front of a member of the cycling team.
The athlete explained in a video how she almost suffered an accident due to violent sexual acts against her at the moment that made her vulnerable, as if she had finished practicing.
“I can't believe there are such men. We finished training in a training session (...) and we almost fell off the bike. I don't know if there are no mothers, no daughters, no grandmothers, no women to respect. I don't feel very good about this kind of thing.” Orjuela said.
However, some of the witnesses of this incident wrote down the license plate for the car, which corresponds to RBU 03F, so that the community itself hoped that the aggressor of the athlete would be identified and prosecuted for his terrible actions.
Tatiana Orjuela (Tatiana Orjuela) is a cyclist who stands out in this sport at the national level. She was part of the Bogotá women's cycling team that participated in the Vuelta a Guatemala event held in April last year.
This year he began to become part of the team Avinal-El Carmen de Viboral, and with him he participated in the first competition of the National Road Championship, which was already held in February.
