Two people were killed during a shooting in Carthage, Valle del Cauca

Authorities are working on a lockdown plan to find the person responsible for the double murder in an important municipality in the northern part of the department.

Residents of Valle del Cauca, in the downtown area of Carthage, experienced a moment of panic due to a shooting incident that occurred in the municipality last Tuesday night, March 15.

This incident was reported exactly on 14th Street between Race 8 and 9. There, several subjects who were mobilizing in the car with Kali Plate and others on motorcycles collided with firearms.

During the confrontation, local media records reported at least 15 shots from one side to the other. Citizens passing through the area were forced to jump to the ground or flee, as most commercial facilities were closed during the crossfire.

Local media outlets have even claimed that motorcyclists passing through the site should get off their motorbikes in order to find shelter and avoid hitting bullets.

After the fire broke out, two of the subjects involved were killed and one more person was injured. The latter came out of the vehicle and asked for help from people passing through the site. “Help me, I was shot,” said the man quoted by some local media.

According to the first report, the subject made a call while lying on the floor with a gunshot wound. He was later taken to a medical center.

The authorities arrived at the shooting site to remove the corps.In the preliminary report, they pointed out that the calculation was not ruled out because one of the fatal victims of the shooting had a judicial record.

Likewise, a locksmith plan was presented to find others in charge of the shooting that endangered several citizens of Carthage (Valle del Cauca).

The community asked the authorities to take action because the fact of insecurity has become part of the Carthaginian landscape.

The government delivered motorcycles to strengthen the Carthage police station.

A few weeks ago, the Government of Valle del Cauca announced the delivery of 16 motorcycles to the police district of Carthage to strengthen the strategic resources of the public forces of the municipality in question.

At the delivery ceremony, the Minister of Coexistence Civil Security, Camilo Murcia, assured that the anxiety that plagued the municipality of Valle del Cauca with the delivery of a motorcycle was expected to face.

The idea of the departmental authorities is that the police should have the means to strengthen their patrol efforts throughout Carthage and also in nearby towns such as Alcalá, Obando, Uloa, Ansermanuevo and El Aguila.

This delivery reached a total of 22 motorcycles managed by territorial agencies in the Carthage Police Department in recent weeks.
