Alberto José Márcico, “El Beto”, was one of the idols of the Boca of the 90s, the emotional memory of a generation. He left football and became an entrepreneur, dedicated to real estate. has been part of several companies since the middle of the last decade, according to the Official Gazette, such as Los Lofts De Godoy SA, or Edificio Migueletes 1286 SRL. Lucas José, his son, is also listed in society. Eventually, those who did business with them brought them to justice, with a criminal file that began in 2019, with multiple civil lawsuits. They claimed to have been deceived in a series of real estate transactions at dollar value, with the purchase of properties that were supposedly never delivered.
Today, after a lengthy investigation by prosecutor Andrés Madrea, Márcico and his son were tried without pretrial detention by Judge Fernando Caunedo. The crimes : “disappointment by disrupting agreed rights committed repeatedly, on a total of 22 occasions”, judicial sources assure this media. In 15 of these cases “there is an ideal concurrence with the crime of fraud by stelionato”. Stelionate, by definition, is to sell as one's own an alien asset.
The embargo is strong, and according to the accusations: both defendants will have to cover the amounts of 1.8 million dollars and 2 million pesos.
