During his visit to Mexico, the world football star Ronaldinho lamented about the violent incident that occurred on March 5 at La Corregidora Stadium, home of the “White Roosters” of the Mexican football team Querétaro.

“I saw what happened in Queretaro and it was hard to believe what happened there. I send a big hug to the people of Queretaro and hug all the friends there.” Ronaldinho said at a press conference when he took office in the International Football Hall of Fame approved by FIFA in the city of Pachuca.

This serious incident injured 26 people and punished Queretaro to play home games behind closed doors for a year, among other sanctions.

“I hope they will live a normal life again,” said Ronaldinho, who played in Queretaro at the Apertura-2014 and Clausura-2015 tournament of Liga MX (the first division of Mexican football). I hope that football will return to normal.

Ronaldinho played 25 Liga MX matches in Queretaro, scored 8 goals and won the runner-up at the Clausura-2015 tournament.

Ronaldinho recalled: “I had a great time in Mexico, and the moment I don't forget was that we were lucky when we played against the United States, and we were lucky enough to score two goals,” he recalled.

On Saturday, April 8, 2015, he advanced to 82 minutes, scored two goals in a 4-0 victory and received a memorable applause at the Azteca Stadium. “Things went well and it's something I remember very lovingly.”

Regarding his entry into the International Football Hall of Fame and his career, the 41-year-old former Brazilian footballer said, “I was lucky to get things right, many people liked my style of play and until now where I go they treat me with great affection.”
