Confirmed: to those attending the Colombia vs. Bolivia, which will be held on March 24 at the Metropolitano Stadium in Barranquilla, will not be required to wear masks. The decision was made by the mayor of the Atlantic capital, Jaime Pumarejo, who argues that the element is not necessary since the stadium is an open space.

It was emphasized that fans must have entry to the match only virtually and to enter the stadium they must present their vaccination card with at least two doses of the vaccine. In addition, biosafety protocols such as hand disinfection must be complied with.

Likewise, the Barranquilla authorities confirmed that the authorized capacity for the matches in the Metropolitan is 100% of its capacity. It should be noted that the full capacity of the Colombia National Team house is 47,000 people.

The goal is for the grandstands to fill up and fans from all over the country travel to Barranquilla to support the team. These types of events are important because they contribute to the economic recovery of the country. In fact, data from the Chamber of Commerce of the Atlantic capital show that each match of the national team represents revenues of up to 10 billion pesos to the city.

In addition, the invitation is extended so that the national team receives all possible support, since the qualification for the Qatar World Cup is not yet defined and it is difficult for the country to win a quota.

At the moment the Colombia National Team is seventh in the qualifying round of the qualifiers with 17 points, it is four points behind Peru who is in the repechage zone and 5 from Uruguay, which is fourth and is directly qualifying. Brazil leads the list with 39 points, followed by Argentina with 35 and Ecuador with 25. It should be noted that the only two teams that have not lost are 'Canarinha' (11 games won and three draws) and Albiceleste (nine games won and five draws).

The moment of the Tricolor is not the best. He already has seven games without winning and without scoring. A total of 646 minutes have passed since Luis Diaz's last goal against Chile in the match that Colombia won 3-1. This negative streak has generated great pressure among the strikers who have not been able to be forceful in the opponent's goal.

But does this defeat leave Colombia eliminated from Qatar 2022? The answer is NO, the Colombia National Team is not eliminated after not scoring a single point against Argentina in Mario Alberto Kempes in the city of Córdoba. Although the situation is complicated for the eventual qualification, Reinaldo Rueda would already have to have a calculator in hand and wait for some results, counting that he scores six points on the last double date of the qualifying round when he receives Bolivia at home and then visits José Néstor Pékerman's Venezuela. These are the results that will suit Colombia to go to the repechage or qualify directly to the World Cup in Qatar.
