Miss World 2021 will celebrate the final of its 70th edition this Wednesday, March 16, after being rescheduled due to the fact that around 23 candidates and some of the technical staff presented symptoms of COVID-19 testing positive.

There were 98 contestants from different countries who fought for a place in the top 40 who will be competing for the crown and who were previously chosen to win the title of women's beauty that takes place every year.

Recall that the contest was scheduled to take place last December 2021 but they changed the dates due to coronavirus infections and sent all the beauty queens to their countries. Subsequently, the organization decided to choose the finalists internally to avoid a regrowth.

It should be noted that the contest will be full of surprises and one of them is the long-awaited presence of Miss World 1975, Wilnelia Merced Forsyth, to pay a special tribute to the long history of the organization.

WHAT TIME AND WHERE WILL MISS WORLD 2021 BE?

One of the most important beauty contests will be held from the well-known José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in the city of San Juan, in Puerto Rico. The event will be hosted by television presenter Peter Andre and actor and singer Fernando Allende.

The broadcast will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Peru as well as in Colombia and Mexico, while in other countries such as Chile and Venezuela it can be seen from 8:00 at night.

WHERE TO WATCH MISS WORLD 2021?

The contest can be seen live and live around the world through Telemundo's signal on its digital channels and other platforms. Likewise, the E! Entertainment will also be broadcasting the pageant.

In cable television, DirecTV and its online platform DirecTV GO will be responsible for making it possible for people to enjoy international beauty on the OnDirecTV channel.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REPRESENTATIVE OF PERU, PAULA MONTES?

The 25-year-old model Paula Montes won the Miss World Peru 2021, getting the opportunity to represent her native country at the international beauty pageant. However, last Thursday she was eliminated from the competition.

The news was confirmed by Tito Paz, owner of the Miss World Peru franchise, to a local media outlet. Everything seems to indicate that the work of the Arequipa model failed to convince the jury responsible for choosing the successor of Toni-Ann Singh, representative of Jamaica and who won Miss World in 2019.
