Metropolitanos continues to lead the Copa Sudamericana after defeating Estudiantes de Merida 4-0

This Tuesday, Metropolitanos crushed Estudiantes de Merida 4-0 in the second leg of the cross between Venezuelan clubs to advance to the Group Stage of Copa Sudamericana 2022.

Robinson Flores scored Metropolitanos's first goal in 35 minutes at the UCV Olympic Stadium in Caracas, winning Charlie Ortiz, Marcel Guaramato at 90+2, and Nestor Kova in 90+2.

Therefore, the Caracas team certified their tickets after winning 2-0 at the first leg appointment held in Merida last Tuesday.

Estudiantes began with momentum in search of a comeback, but the expulsion, in which goalkeeper Armando Araque took the ball out of the hands of the zone when his rival was pressed, began to sink his hopes. Scholars received another red card seen by Jesús Vargas in 90+3.
