Mary Mount School: Legal Medicine confirmed that former professor Mauricio Zambrano abused one of the students.

After receiving multiple complaints from students at Marymount School in Bogotá about alleged sexual harassment and abuse by physical education teachers, Noticias RCN issued a legal medical ruling in which Mauricio Zambrano, who is currently a former professor, stated that she had sexually abused a girl under the age of 14.

In a four-page document from the Prosecutor's Office known to Bogotá News, Medicina Legal revealed that the young student did not agree to sexual activity with the defendant.

In this regard, according to the opinion of Legal Medicine, due to sexual abuse in which minors were victims, they are currently experiencing psychological effects, in addition to “injury to free development and sexual formation”, as reported by the same media.

Considering evidence against Zambrano, RCN Radio learned that the Attorney General's Office filed an appeal against the decision of the Bogotá Guarantee Judge to release a former teacher.

It should be recalled that on March 10, the judge decided not to send Mauricio Zambrano to prison. This is because, despite the fact that the Attorney General's Office submitted evidence to be prosecuted as a guarantee, it was possible to continue the proceedings against him when the teacher was free.Measure as he was deemed dangerous to society.

Because of this decision, the Prosecutor's Office and Attorney General Margarita Cabello objected, said Cabello, “considering that the judicial operator did not fully analyze the material evidence provided by the prosecutor's office and that a reasonable reasoning could be made about the author of the alleged act.”

The newspaper El País de Cali learned that after the Prosecutor's Office appealed this decision, another judge was responsible for resolving the situation in which the prosecutor asked to send Zambrano to jail. More than 30 evidences that exist against him for sexual charges, harassment and abuse of school Marymount students.

After reports of alleged sexual abuse of a young 7th grade student in Marymount were revealed, several students in the school decided to inform them through social networks that they were victims of sexual harassment or abuse by education teachers. A physicist, Mauricio Zambrano, has been working in school for 15 years.

The case has transcended to the extent that several students and former students of the school decided to file an official complaint with the Office of the Attorney General of the State, with particular emphasis placed on the fact that the former teacher of the current institution made his own pathological remarks. When he saw the body alone, he even invited him to go out.

On this incident, officials of educational institutions also said that this is not the first time that the facts have been reported, and the instructions did not give a clear answer, and the situation could not be handled either.
