Victory was once again the scene of a crime. Two policemen, one of them in retirement, were gunned down in search of stealing more than 10,000 suns from them. Both provided private security services and protected a young man who was on his way to deposit that amount in a bank located between the Francisco Graña shred with the crossing of Victor Alzamora.

The three of them were on board a car at about 2:30 in the afternoon, when six criminals intercepted them with the help of their motorcycles s. One of them started shooting at the vehicle in search of reducing them and stealing their money. The shots alarmed people who were close to the area.

“It was two guys with their motorcycle waiting as they always expect, but it was never thought that they were going to start with the gust. In total it was like 9 shots, but like that, pure burst,” said a lady who was at the scene.

Meanwhile, one of his colleagues told Panamericana that the two cops in retirement always made this transfer of money. “It cannot be possible that they have been killed for an amount that does not exceed 11 thousand suns, it is not possible,” he regretted.

“The one who was left alive is from the company, he had the money to deposit it in the bank. We are custodians because we are retired cops. (...) This was a blow, we do this every week. It's unfortunate. You can imagine,” he continued.

One of the victims was identified as Ricardo Félix Morales Gallardo, who was driving the car at the age of 62, after retiring from the National Police (PNP). The name of the co-pilot was not revealed by the authorities in charge as he would be an active cash.

Precisely, the latter drew his gun and began shooting at the thugs, injuring one of them. “Ángel Vladimir Barreto is being detained and is being held in the Dos de Mayo Hospital. He is shot, has a history of aggravated robbery and other crimes,” reported PNP Colonel Jorge Barboza, head of the Center 2 Police Division.

From the hospital, 'Angelito' confessed his crime, who served his sentence in the Lurigancho prison for the crime of aggravated robbery. “The old men (criminals of La Victoria) called the 'Negrito' and this one passed the word to me. We came from Independencia and met at 'Metro' in Arriola. We went in six. Two on each linear motorcycle, and the others on the minivan. They told us there is money. The one who started shooting was the 'negrito', I shot at the rim. The goal was the money that was there (in the car),” he said.

As for the money manager, one of his colleagues said he gave his statements to the authorities as he was involved in the crime. “He was in the unit, in the back,” said his partner.

According to PNP robbery and homicide personnel, in addition to criminal officers, more than 10 bullet casings were found on the track. It is hoped that footage from security cameras in the area will serve to catch the other criminals.
