Saying he was “prevented from carrying out the role of Treasurer to the standards such a responsibility requires” Phil Andrews has resigned his position as Treasurer of the Pan American Federation (PAWF).
His resignation was submitted via a letter to all Pan American Executive Board Members.
Andrews is still the CEO of USA Weightlifting and will continue in that role.
In his letter he mentioned “a great number of challenges that have made it difficult for me to work according to my own high-level and ethical standards. Due to these factors and actions by others that are out of my control, I have not been able to oversee the financial status of the organization in a proper ethical and responsible manner.”
No replacement for the position has been named as this time.
