Heavy rain caused by hail on the Mexico-Puebla highway on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a traffic accident.

According to the first report, at about 18:00 hours, at the height of the San Marcos booth in the Ixtapaluca territory and the town of Rio Frio, between 56 and 63 kilometers, ice was present on the highway between 56 and 63 kilometers, which caused a collision of at least three vehicles per range.

However, Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) reported through its Twitter account that people were seriously injured, so they urged drivers to take precautions in the face of crystallized asphalt.

In this regard, the National Guard implemented a road safety device that involves closing roads in both directions at 63 km to avoid further accidents.

“In Edomex, road safety devices are implemented by blocking traffic in both directions according to adverse weather conditions (rainfall and hail) between Mexico and Puebla (Mexico-Puebla) from 056 km to 063 motorway (1710). The agency posted it on Twitter.
