A major gas leak was recorded in the early hours of Tuesday afternoon in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Boca, when a medium-pressure pipe was accidentally broken at the junction of Paseo Colón and Almirante Brown avenues. According to the first information accessed by Infobae, there were no injuries at the scene.
The pipe rupture, as specified, was caused while tree removal tasks were being carried out for the extension of the Metrobús in zone a. Civil Defense and Firefighters worked on the site, although there were no serious damage or injured persons.
The building in front of the escape was evacuated preventively.
The City Police cut off traffic preventively in that area of Bajo Buenos Aires, while a MetroGas crews were also present, who immediately showed up at the scene, to solve the rupture in the affected gas pipe.
