The Last King: Televisa premiered Vicente Fernández's bioseries despite Cuquita Abarca's claim

In the midst of an alleged notice of suspension and against the will of the Fernández dynasty, Juan Osorio's production debuted on open television

As announced during the morning and afternoon of this Monday, March 14, producer Juan Osorio, the new Televisa series El último rey: el hijo del pueblo, based on the life of Vicente Fernández, did air in a timely manner as it had been promoted for weeks.

In the midst of Cuquita Abarca's claims and speculations regarding the alleged suspension order imposed on the television company, the serial was released after a strong advertising campaign in the different spaces of the company.

Although the family of the late singer had spoken out for a couple of months ago against the project starred by Pablo Montero, the story was finally released at 8:30pm by Las estrellas.

In addition to the opposition of the Fernández and although the issue escalated to legal instances, as a judge banned the premiere of the serial program, Televisa reported that it did not receive any notification from any authority, giving the green light to the transmission of the controversial project based on the book of the same name by journalist Olga Wornat.
