Although Valentine's Day has passed, it is always a good time to enjoy the romances that are presented both on the big screen and on the small screen. The book of love (Book of Love) is on this list and promises to make several fall in love with an uneven relationship that ends up being very close.
“It tells the story of a couple of writers who embark on a promotional tour of different provinces and cities in Mexico, where they experience fun situations around the launch of their book,” says the synopsis of this feature film.
It all starts with the failure of Henry (Sam Claflin), an English writer who is going through one of his worst moments, and that is that the novel he just wrote has not been well received by the public or by critics. Quite bored by the situation, he embarks on a promotional tour of Mexico and oh, surprise! His book is a bestseller.
At first Henry doesn't understand why in that country the book has also been sold, but finally, the secret comes to light: it's Maria (Verónica Echegui), his translator into Spanish, who has rewritten it as an erotic novel.
The protagonist of this story is filled with anger against her, because he cannot believe what he did to his novel. And although he doesn't want to have her around, the truth is that he will have to, because his editor will force him to go on the promotional tour with her. And although in the beginning their relationship will be more of hatred, with the passing of days love will end up emerging.
The film was released a few days ago in Colombian cinemas, and in other countries it can be seen on the Prime Video platform.
