The protests are led by political groups that formed the so-called Unidad Picketera bloc and today launched a “struggle plan” that rejected an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and opposed “triggering reconciliation and inflation.”

Among the main requirements is the increase in minimum living and mobile wages from 32,000 pesos to 64,000 pesos, that is, an increase of 100%. “Openness or universalization of social programs such as empowerment work”, that is, in the words of Eduardo Belliboni, workers pole, “for all those who need help, as is the case with IFE (Emergency Family Income)” and “Improvement of food assistance and freedom of choice of beneficiaries”.

Several protesters gathered at the obelisk and marched on July 9 (Franco Papasuli)

“Today we went out with everything from the country and at the door of the Ministry of Social Development called for an emergency meeting with Minister Juan Zabaleta and Minister of Labor (Claudio) Moroni. We want a solution to the very serious social situation that is happening in the United States with respect to the workers.” Belliboni said.

“While emergencies persist, social programs are becoming more common and the amount should be doubled. We also demand comprehensive support for soup kitchens that are not guaranteed by the government.” The social leader added.

As planned, the protests began around 2 p.m. from then on, some organizations would gather at the obelisk and then move to the headquarters of the Department of Social Development to camp for 24 hours at 9 de Julio Avenue, as announced by the convening group.

The March of the Ministry of Labor was already scheduled for tomorrow, and on March 31, mobilization and obstacles were voted across the country. And if they do not get the answers they want from the authorities, the Picket Unit plans another camp in front of the social development portfolio, but this time for 48 hours. As a fourth measure, they decided to “prepare for the construction of a great federal march.”
