LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Grammy Awards will feature three of the biggest pop artists of the moment, Olivia Rodrigo, BTS and Billie Eilish, who will perform at next month's ceremony in Las Vegas.
The Recording Academy announced on Tuesday the first list of participating artists, which also includes Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne and Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow. The show will be broadcast live on April 3 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS and Paramount+.
The Grammys moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas due to the increase in cases of COVID-19 and the omicron variant in January, when organizers cited “too many risks” to organize a ceremony full of artists at the time.
Trevor Noah will again host the gala for the second year in a row.
The multi-talented Jon Batiste leads the list of nominees with 11 nominees in a variety of genres including R&B, jazz/American-rooted music, classical music and music video. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. follow him with eight each.
